Labs-Mart is an independent third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to the supplements and food industries. We are seeking a full-time Laboratory Analyst for our Farmington Hills location. This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, rise rapidly within the organization, and cross-train in a variety of analytical chemistry techniques. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for lab maintenance, dietary supplement/food analyses, and supervising/mentoring junior staff. The Laboratory Analyst will ensure that quality control procedures are followed within the workgroup.

Responsibilities

  • Routine testing of supplements and food samples in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Generation, interpretation, and management of analytical data
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical instruments
  • Assisting in quality control duties and research & development projects when required
  • Developing and validating analytical methods

Qualification Requirements

  • REQUIRED: MSc in chemistry
  • Preferred: PhD in analytical chemistry

Skills and Experience

  • REQUIRED: Minimum 5 years academic or work experience in liquid and gas chromatography, natural product chemistry, and/or pharmaceuticals
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, or ISO17025
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Must be able to work overtime when required
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
